Course overview

The PADI Deep Diver specialty in Pondicherry takes you down to recreational limits on the Bay of Bengal, including the dramatic Aravind Wall. You learn to manage gas, narcosis and colour loss while exploring deeper reef structures off India's east coast.

What you’ll learn

• Plan and execute dives to 30-40m
• Recognise and manage nitrogen narcosis
• Monitor gas supply and no-deco limits
• Handle colour loss and reduced light
• Manage safety stops and ascent rates

Prerequisites

• 15 years or older
• PADI Adventure Diver with Deep Adventure Dive (or Advanced Open Water)

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Theory and first deep dives

   Cover deep-diving theory then descend on Bay of Bengal reefs beyond 18m.
2. Day2
   Deeper dives

   Complete dives toward 30-40m on the Aravind Wall with narcosis and gas drills.
