Course overview

Extend your range to 40 metres with the PADI Deep Diver specialty on Maafushi, exploring the deeper drop-offs and channel walls of the Maldives' South Malé Atoll. Across four dives at sites such as Miyaru Kandu, where pelagics cruise the blue, you learn to plan deep dives, manage gas and recognise narcosis in warm 27-30°C water. You finish certified to the recreational limit of 40 metres.

What you’ll learn

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 15
• PADI Adventure Diver or Advanced Open Water (or qualifying equivalent)
• Comfortable with multi-level dives and buoyancy control
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Theory & first deep dives

   Deep-diving theory and planning, then two training dives building depth on atoll drop-offs.
2. Day2
   To 40 metres

   Two further dives reaching toward 40 metres at sites such as Miyaru Kandu, with gas-management and narcosis checks.
