The PADI Conservation & AWARE pathway

PADI AWARE programmes such as Dive Against Debris are recognised specialties that contribute to global citizen-science databases. Some elements can be completed by non-divers, while in-water survey dives require Open Water certification.

Where you'll dive in Hikkaduwa

Conservation dives use Hikkaduwa's accessible house reef and coral gardens, where ongoing reef clean-ups and turtle protection make a fitting setting for hands-on marine conservation during the calm November-to-April season.
