The PADI Scuba Diver course in Alor is a shorter, entry-level certification for those with limited time who still want a real qualification. You complete the first portion of the Open Water skills, including confined-water training and open-water dives on sheltered Alor reefs, certifying you to dive to 12 metres under the supervision of a PADI professional.

The PADI Basic Diver pathway

PADI Scuba Diver is a recognised sub-certification of Open Water Diver that certifies you to 12 metres under the supervision of a PADI Divemaster or Instructor. It can be upgraded to full Open Water Diver by completing the remaining training.

Training uses Alor's calm, sheltered reefs near the resort, picked for gentle conditions away from the strong outer-site currents, perfect for new divers in the April-to-November season.
