Course overview

Take the next step after Open Water with the PADI Adventure Diver certification at Kovalam, sampling three adventure dives in the warm Arabian Sea. Guided by an instructor over the Kovalam reef, you try disciplines such as deep, navigation or peak-performance buoyancy diving to find what you enjoy most. The rating sits between Open Water and Advanced Open Water and counts toward the latter.

What you’ll learn

• Experience three different adventure dives in one programme
• Begin underwater navigation with a compass
• Sample deeper diving under instructor supervision
• Improve buoyancy and trim
• Decide which specialties interest you most

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 10 (junior) or 15
• PADI Open Water Diver (or a qualifying entry-level certification)
• Comfort with basic open-water skills
• Diver medical questionnaire (physician sign-off if any condition applies)
