Course overview

Build on your certification with the PADI Advanced Open Water course in the Seychelles, expanding your skills and depth range across Mahe's varied granite reefs, walls and wrecks. Over five adventure dives, including deep and underwater navigation, you explore sites such as the Coral Garden, the Twin Barges wreck and deeper pinnacles in real Indian Ocean conditions. You finish certified to dive to 30 metres and ready for specialty training.

What you’ll learn

• Plan and conduct dives to a maximum of 30 metres
• Navigate underwater with a compass and natural references
• Improve buoyancy, trim and air consumption
• Apply skills across five different adventure-dive disciplines
• Dive a wreck and observe local marine life
• Build confidence diving in current and along walls

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12 (Junior Advanced) or 15 for Advanced Open Water
• PADI Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification)
• Comfortable basic dive skills
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Deep & navigation dives

   Complete the required Deep adventure dive toward 30 metres and the Underwater Navigation dive on Mahe's reefs.
2. Day2
   Elective adventure dives

   Three elective dives such as the Twin Barges wreck, peak performance buoyancy or night diving, then certify.
