Course overview

Build on your Open Water certification and reach new depths with the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course on Kadmat Island. Over five adventure dives, including deep and navigation, you extend your certified depth to 30 metres and explore the atoll's reef walls and coral gardens, where manta rays, reef sharks and turtles cruise the clear Lakshadweep water.

What you’ll learn

• Plan and conduct dives to a maximum of 30 metres
• Navigate underwater with a compass and natural references
• Apply three further skills from chosen adventure dives
• Manage deeper-water gas planning and narcosis awareness
• Improve buoyancy, trim and air consumption
• Dive with greater independence and confidence

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12 (Junior Advanced) or 15 for Advanced Open Water
• PADI Open Water Diver or a qualifying certification
• Comfortable basic scuba skills
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Deep & navigation dives

   Complete the required Deep and Underwater Navigation adventure dives on Kadmat's reef walls and lagoon.
2. Day2
   Elective adventure dives

   Choose three further adventure dives, such as buoyancy or night, then certify as an Advanced Open Water Diver.
