Course overview

The PADI Advanced Open Water course in Cancún and Cozumel is your gateway to the region's best diving - drift along Palancar and Santa Rosa Wall, descend deeper on the reef shelf, and choose adventures from the Underwater Museum to night dives. Five dives build the confidence to explore the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef.

What you’ll learn

• Plan and execute deeper dives to 30 m
• Navigate underwater with a compass
• Apply skills across five adventure dives
• Improve buoyancy and trim
• Dive confidently in drift conditions

Prerequisites

• PADI Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification)
• 12 years minimum (15 for adult course)
• Basic comfort in open water

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Deep & navigation

   Complete the two core dives on a Cozumel wall and a sandy reef.
2. Day2
   Three electives

   Choose drift, night, wreck or the Cancún Underwater Museum dives.
