The PADI Adaptive Support Diver course trains certified divers and dive buddies to support divers with physical or mental challenges, opening South Ari Atoll's gentle reefs to everyone. It is a compassionate specialty that fits the atoll's calm, accessible house-reef diving.

PADI Adaptive Support Diver is a recreational specialty (with a separate pro-level Adaptive Techniques course); it uses PADI materials, supports Project AWARE inclusion goals, and issues a PADI card.
